After a quick stop in Africa, we're back to the Americas this month, heading for the beautiful central American nation of El Salvador, to bring you something very sweet and very special. This coffee from El Salvador is from the Las Isabellas farm and is a mixture of Pacamara and Bourbon. Las Isabellas is located on the south face of "Cerran Grande" of Apaneca, at an altitude of 1200 - 1450m. Las Isabellas is covered by 175 acres of natural forest, broken by natural springs and waterfalls. The origin farm of this coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified, owned by Jose Roberto Santamaria who operates his family's coffee estate. In September, we're heading to our favourite continent, Africa, to bring you a truly delicious coffee that the Bora team just can't get enough of! Located close to Yirgacheffe, the coffee growing region of Limu produces a very different cup to that of its more famous counterpart. The district as a whole produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica that are native to the area. Limu coffee is grown at elevations ranging from 3,600 to 6,200 feet above sea level, a slightly lower altitude than the Yirgacheffe region. This means that the cherries mature quicker and the acidity alters slightly. The coffee that we have selected from the Limu region is grown in Oromia and is a delicate mix...
We're staying in the Americas this August and heading over to Brazil. This one is a beauty... We've sourced a beautiful coffee from the famous coffee growing region of Cerrado Minas Gerais. Brazil is the largest producer of coffee in the world and sets standards for the quality of growing, harvesting and processing amazing coffee. Brazilian coffee is usually a very balanced coffee and is therefore often used as a base for many blends. Our Brazilian coffee beans are roasted for a mild and easy drinking flavour profile. Excellent as a filter coffee and this is definitely one for you home brewers out there, so try this as a V60 or Aeropress. All in all, this naturally processed coffee delivers...
This month, we're taking you to Guatemala, to experience one of the finest coffees Latin America has to offer... Guatemala has been growing coffee since the 1850s and is one of the top producers in Central America. Coffees from Guatemala are simply beautiful! The beans that we have sourced for this month's guest coffee are from plantations in volcanic valleys surrounding Antigua. The coffee is surrounded by three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego & Acatenango. The plantations have rich volcanic soil and excellent growing conditions, at an altitude of 1650 metres. This coffee is chocolatey and sweet with a beautiful body. There are also notes of blackberry in the aroma. Sound good? Buy it NOW! Or if you prefer, sign up to...
